So...

This sounded great on paper. 2 items per at a time, maybe 2 or 3 movies per week...

After 2 weeks I received 2 movies. Gamefly says:

"it is possible that outside forces could cause delays, such as weather conditions, postal holidays, and local postal performance, just to name a few."

We had no bad weather or postal holidays. I didn't pick USPS, but Gamefly says their performance is not in their control.

BTW, I am only a 5 hour drive from the Gamefly depot.

I would have thought they would push USPS more. I wish they used UPS...

The only good thing about gamefly right now is that they offer 4K blu-ray rentals.
The bad is that it takes an entire week right now, year 2021, Four the turnaround process of when you put the movie in the outbound mailbox to when you receive the movie back in your mailbox. I live in the Midwest and it should not take this long for a turnaround of a movie. For the price I Pay, I would save money and time by using Redbox or a local video rental store. Game fly has a cool service where in when the post office scans the movie to go back to the game fly headquarters, game fly receives that notification and is supposed to send out your movie so that way it’s a faster turnaround. Even with that service, it still takes an entire week for a turnaround and sometimes it’s taken 10 days for the turnaround.
The game fly customer service is atrocious. When it had been eight days since game fly sent out my movie to me and I still hadn’t received it, I called customer service and ask them to send another movie because I hadn’t received it yet. They said to wait longer and they can’t have out more than one movie at one time. I asked if I could upgrade to another tier so they can have two movies out at once. They said that’s not possible and nobody does that. Well I created a new account anyway and was able to sign up for two movies out at one time even though to customer service representative told me that was not possible. The representatives acted like the company will be losing thousands of dollars by sending me one extra movie valued at $20.
I will be canceling GameFly as soon as my membership is up. Oh, you can blame this on the Trump administration or whoever you want or the US Postal Service, but I can still get an Amazon package the same day that I order it or even next day delivery. I should be able to get an envelope delivered to my house within several days and if the us postal service can’t provide that turn around then they can simply use fedex or another service.

Subscribed and Cancelled the same day!

I subscribed for the 2 games and tried to play games with my spouse on Nintendo switch lites. I couldn't get the same game to play with her even though the game was old and they had a very high availability. I don't know what is the issue with that like I just subscribed and JUST canceled immediately. If I'm paying you money for a game that you have a lot of, why couldn't you arrange that as a service? Unless the game is at low availability then I would understand but such a high availability for an old game is just absurd.

Good Service

It is unquestionably worth the cost. You create a gift list of games you like, and if they're available, they try to give you the ones at the top of your list.

2 Weeks to Receive... Gamefly says out of their control...

Terrible shipping and return times

Very disappointed

Very disappointed.
Bought 3 kingdoms 14 for the ps4 and they send me a game with chipped sides.
Crap doesn't even download. Now have to fight a refund and STILL find the game. Thanks alot Gamefly.
Never use or recommend this crap again.

Gamefly is crap

It was next to impossible to get any of the games. I had to keep my queue at 50 to be assured to get ANY game, and usually it was nothing even close to what was in my top 5 or top 10, despite those games having "high availability." As an example my top game was GI Joe: Blackout. I doubt that game was so popular that they just couldn't spare one; and if it was, why does it show High Availability? It's pointless to even have a queue.
In frustration I messaged customer service and was told to wait for them to get back to me. Once they decided to message me back they were very condescending and were clearly just copy pasting rhetoric at me. Basically your choices are keep your "queue" down to two or three games and wait weeks for them to be available, or have a queue of 50 games you kinda want to play and get them often, but have no control over which titles you'll get and when.
Don't use this service. They lie about the availability of the games. They lie about the turn around time on mailing. And their customer service is a joke.

Gamefly sucks

Gamefly sucks! Nintendo Switches are impossible to find right now. I have been online looking day and night and finally some popped up on gamefly. I ordered immediately and got a confirmation email for my order. I was so excited as this is a birthday present for my daughter. TWO DAYS later I get another email that my order has been cancelled. No explanation, just cancelled. I send them an email to get some clarification and they state that they did have them in stock, but they sold out very quickly. Why did they let me go through the purchasing process? Why did I get a confirmation email? Why did it take you two days to figure this out? What kind of shoddy business practices are these? If you only have 20 in stock, only allow 20 people to place an order! Really not that hard. This is crap! I could've still been looking for one. Now I'm two days closer to her birthday and likely won't find one in time.

These scumbags at GameFly scam people into free trial then steal your money after you cancel but make it impossible to cancel and if u try n call good luck all you’ll get is 9 million ads for everything from car insurance to hemroid cream n never talk to anyone! The best part is when they say they refunded your money but they don’t actually do it! All good til game fly workers get shot

Another GameFly game doesn’t work

Dragon age did not work! Super super disappointed and frustrated since this is the second disc in a row sent to me not being able to play! This was a game I was pretty excited to play when I read the RPG gameplay description. The disc had the tinniest scratch . This time I took photos of the error and can not download to play screen as proof of the unfortunate situation.

Spider-Man game doesn’t download

Spider-Man game doesn’t download. Multiple times I put the game to install and download. Very frustrating when it gave me a time on how long it would take to complete and never did. Especially, when I was doing this for my son to play. Numerous times retried until the last one it said error after an hour! I would like to also mention it takes forever to receive a game from the que. Also, doesn’t give me the game I really want because low availability. Don’t worry my subscription ends May 23 I’m not renewing you guys are really something else!
